The attorney for a Campton Hills police officer, who has spent nearly a year on paid leave, says the village is retaliating against him for attempting to unionize.
Key points
Officer Dominic DiMaggio has been paid DiMaggio approximately $62,500 while not reporting to work.
A hearing on whether DiMaggio should be moved to unpaid leave has been postponed until 2/13.
Village officials have not addressed to claims that DiMaggio’s discipline is linked to his union efforts.
