Easter season has arrived in the Tri-Cities, which means it's time to plan those activities before they sell out.

From festive egg hunts and bunny photo ops to delicious brunches and family-friendly festivals, there's something happening in every corner of Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and beyond.

Celebrating Holy Week: Three Fox Valley churches to hold joint worship

  • Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St. in Aurora, will celebrate Holy Week April 13-19. Included is a Friday joint service with Batavia UMC at UMC of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St. in Geneva. The public is invited. Admission and parking are free.

  • Wesley Lead Pastor Rev. Tammy Scott said her church's events open on Palm Sunday, April 13, with worship services at 9:30 a.m. online and in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m.

  • On Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m., Wesley will host a free meal and a service with handwashing and communion in the Gathering Place room.

  • On Good Friday, April 18, at 7 p.m., Geneva UMC will host a reader's theater Tenebrae service. Participating pastors are Wesley's Scott, Rob Hamilton, Geneva UMC; and Melissa Meyers, Batavia UMC.

  • On Sunday, April 20, Wesley UMC will hold Easter worship services at 9:30 a.m. online and in-person at 10:30 a.m.
