The Fox Valley Jammers Club is celebrating its two-year anniversary with a large-scale open mic and jam session on Tuesday, March 25, at 6PM at EvenFlow Music & Spirits in Geneva. The event will feature two performance areas and a lottery-style sign-up for musicians looking to take the stage.

The club, which has grown to over 1,800 members, organizes open mic nights at more than 25 venues across the Fox Valley. Spanning communities from Elgin to Oswego and Naperville to Yorkville, the group has become a hub for musicians of all skill levels to connect and perform.

To mark the milestone, each of the club’s open mic hosts will receive a guaranteed 12-minute set, while other performers will be chosen by lottery throughout the night. Musicians arriving early will have fewer entries to compete against, but names will remain in play for the duration of the event.

The night will be split between two spaces:

• The Main Stage (upstairs) for bands and open jam ensembles

• Capone’s Speakeasy (downstairs) for solo, duo, and singer-songwriter acts

Capone’s Speakeasy, located in the basement of EvenFlow, still features the vault from its days as a bank, giving the space a distinctive 1920s feel.

Both performance areas will be fully equipped, eliminating the need for musicians to bring amplifiers. Drums and keyboards will be available on both stages.

The event is free for the public to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase.
