Thorabella’s ribbon cutting on May 22.

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Thorabella’s with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 22. The new restaurant, located at 15 E. Wilson Street and owned by long-time restauranteur Brian Green, is the latest addition to the Batavia dining scene.

Thorabella’s is a family-owned restaurant, serving Italian American cuisine inspired by the family’s rich heritage and guided by the spirit of their beloved grandmother, Thora. Many menu options are named after family members and feature starters, salads, build-your-own pasta, panini, and flatbreads.

The second-floor event space is available for showers, anniversary parties, small events and more. Thorabella’s is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11:30AM-9PM.

Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration along with Brian Green, his mother, Deborah Green; sister, Brittany Sabatino; and grandfather, Frank Rogers, husband of Thora, the restaurant’s namesake.

Among the well-wishers were representatives from the Batavia Chamber, Batavia MainStreet, City of Batavia and community members.

Reservations are recommended for peak hours and can be made by calling (331) 286-9292. Carryout and catering options are available as well.
