On June 8, Batavia residents are invited to kickstart their summer by focusing on personal health and wellness at the annual WellBatavia Festival.

Held from 8-11:30AM at Batavia City Hall, this free community event provides the perfect opportunity to connect with local resources and get complimentary health screenings.

The WellBatavia Festival was originally founded as the Green Fair on the Fox to promote environmentally conscious living. Over the years, its mission has expanded to raising awareness about all factors impacting community health, happiness and preventable diseases.

"We are a wellness advocacy team dedicated to making health resources and knowledge accessible to all," said WellBatavia organizer Joe King. "Our goal is to increase traction each year on the importance of our community adopting healthy behaviors."

This year's festival offerings include free comprehensive health assessments for adults interested in evaluating their physical, nutritional, hearing, cognitive, sleep, and vital sign health.

Parents can also get free speech screenings for their children during the event.

In addition to the health checks, attendees can browse vendor booths showcasing local holistic medicine practitioners, fitness programs, healthy food options, spiritual health resources, and environmental conservation efforts.

You can register in advance for your free health check here and for free kids’ speech screenings here.
